Ceramic coating questions
Is a ceramic coating better than wax?
A coating bonds to the paint and lasts far longer than wax, with a harder, slicker surface. Wax sits on top and wears off in weeks.
Does a ceramic coating stop rock chips?
No. A coating adds gloss and makes cleaning easier, but it won't stop a chip. For that you want paint protection film. Many owners put PPF on the front and coat the whole car.
Do I still need to wash my car?
Yes, but it gets a lot easier. Dirt and water struggle to stick, so washes are quicker and the car stays cleaner between them.
Why does prep matter so much?
The coating locks in whatever is under it. That's why we decontaminate and prep the paint first, so the finish you see is the one you keep.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
It depends on the product and how the car is cared for. Ask us and we'll explain the options.
